BROWN NOSING | 2003

The Brown Nosing Sculpture is installed in the courtyard of Futura Gallery (before visiting the installation, we recommend that you check the opening hours at the website www.futuraproject.cz. At first glance, you will see “only” bending human torsos with back-sides pushed out, but when you climb the ladder and push your head into the anal opening, you see a video-loop in which ex-President Václav Klaus and the ex-director of the National Gallery in Prague are mutually feeding each other with porridge.

Even if this was a response to the political situation at the time, but it has transcended its time and its significance shall be comprehended even by visitors who do not know the context or persons in the video.

Did you know that...
