Piss Sculpture

PISS SCULPTURE | 2004

The children’s pissing fountains are common, and you can hardly find the depiction of two well-made “urinating” adult men. These two figures are moreover standing in a small pond that copies the shape of the Czech Republic. It may seem to be further message for the Czech politicians, as is typical for Černý. The artist in 2004 stated in the Los Angeles Times that it should be representation typical of Czech dialogue, where one is making an effort to outscrew the other or get ahead at his detriment.

Did you know that...

Using the water flows, the fountain writes the texts of writers related to Prague, or overwrites what the visitors wrote via sms.
